Third Annual IHRSA University Seeks Industry’s Finest

“IHRSA University is the ideal setting in which to interact with fellow professionals from around the world to enhance our knowledge of the industry and bring cutting-edge ideas to the surface,” said Joe Moore, IHRSA president and CEO.
The 2007 class comprised 40 attendees from 15 countries and 5 continents. Executive industry speakers included Colin Wagget, CEO of Fitness First, Mike Balfour, chairman of the board of Fitness First, Andreas Gothberg, former CEO of SATS, and Gene LaMott, former CEO of Gold’s Gym International.
The 2008 event will include industry veterans Mark Mastrov, founder of 24 Hour Fitness and Fitness Holdings Worldwide, and David Lloyd, founder of David Lloyd Leisure.
The courses will use interactive learning methods and include case studies, discussions, simulations, presentations and small-group learning activities and breakout sessions. A total immersion experience, the program extends beyond the classroom and includes company visits, tours, team-building activities, and meals with participants and faculty. In addition, it includes a 360° leadership profile evaluation prior to the program and an actionable, e-mail based Mission Critical Leadership plan 100 days afterwards.
