Crisis in the Fitness Industry - The Cost of Music

Friday, August 15 at the Can-Fit-Pro Trade Show and Conference, 4pm-6pm

Proposed new music licensing tariffs, if implemented, threaten the survival of many fitness providers in Canada. One current proposal alone, if accepted by the Copyright Board of Canada, calls for fees of $3.00 per class, plus 5% of total facility revenues!

This meeting (sponsored by Can-fit-Pro and Fitness Industry Canada) will review all details of the proposals and present a defense strategy. Many actions are already underway under the leadership of Fitness Industry Canada. Owners, managers, directors, independent instructors and professionals from all industry sectors and from facilities of all sizes are invited.

The Financial Panel with Rick Caro, originally scheduled for 4 pm to 5:30 pm on Friday, August 15, has been cancelled by Can-Fit-Pro to provide for the Music Licensing session from 4pm to 6pm.

It is critical that all clubs, public and charitable facilities of all sizes act together on this issue. Club owners and managers must speak with a unified voice and work together to financially support the legal and organizational efforts being made to save the fitness industry from its worst threat ever.

Please attend Crisis in the Fitness Industry beginning at 4pm on Friday, August 15th at Can-Fit-Pro.
