CAAWS’ Mothers in Motion Funds 10 programs
| OTTAWA – The Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS) has announced the grant recipients for its Mothers in Motion program, made possible through a financial contribution from the Public Health Agency of Canada.
Ten communities were selected to collaborate with CAAWS on the development and implementation of physical activity and/or sport program for mothers of low socioeconomic status. |

The projects selected for funding are: Softball for Women and Girls Spirits of Burns Lake, Burns Lake, BC; Moms On the Move!, Maywood Community School, Burnaby, BC; Mothers in Motion,City of Calgary Community & Neighbourhood Services East Division, Calgary, AB; Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies - Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program, Okotoks, AB; Yoga Yum - en mouvement! Association des parents Fransaskois, Saskatoon, SK; Women Alive!, City of Hamilton Public Health Services, Hamilton, ON; Moms on the Move, Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology’ Sault Ste. Marie, ON; Mères en movement, Centre Communautaire Hochelaga, Montréal, QC; Mothers in Motion, The One Change Inc., Saint John, NB; and Mothers in Motion,YMCA Lunenburg County, Bridgewater, NS.
